I create art toys that capture the gaze lingering at the boundary between the self and others.

Sometimes, they become beloved characters, carrying the emotions and tastes of everyday life. At other times, they act as mirrors that reflect both the past and the future, revealing different facets of who I am.

By wearing a mask, they embody the flexibility to become “NUGU”—anyone. Yet when that mask is laid down, they ultimately confront the solidity of the self.

This process of exploration is both my sculptural language and a journey toward discovering a clear and authentic identity within an ambiguous world.
