Based in Nagasaki, ukyDaydreamer has been creating his own figures since 2006, drawing inspiration from childhood memories of painting, clay, plastic models, tokusatsu, and kaiju. His characters—such as Ganjara, Dr. Take, Takotsubon, and Dharmasanda—blend retro charm with playful originality. As the organizer of the regional sofubi event SofviQ, Uky is a driving force in Japan’s indie toy scene, crafting figures that spark both nostalgia and imagination in collectors around the world.
